R.I.P.

This is a photo of Jeremy Lusk, a professional freestyle motocross rider who was died early Tuesday morning after failing to land a backflip on Sunday. He's someone that I would see every year during the X-Games. I don't know much about him other than the fact that he was only 24 years old and he died doing what he loves. Yes, this is a tragedy, to die at the age of 24 is something unimagineable. My prayers go out to his wife and family. I pray that they may take this tragedy and use it positively to impact the lives of other FMX riders.

Death is something that, historically, is something that people don't like to talk about, but for some reason... I don't feel awkward talking about this topic. Maybe it's the violence that has been marketed to myself and other gen Yer's. Maybe it's the fact that I am often too truthful for some of those around me (i have a tendency to over state things in ways that aren't always sensitive.) I really haven't got the slightest idea why so many people my age are more comfortable seeing and talking about things that would have been nothing more than taboo in generations past... I'm done now.
R.I.P. Jeremy Lusk
